Toledo, also nicknamed The Glass City, is located in Lucas County, Ohio, and sits on the western end of the majestic Lake Erie, bordering the state of Michigan. The city of Toledo is well-known for important industries such as glass, auto assembly, green industries, healthcare, education, and art.  TLC-Toledo is located in a safe and exciting part of Toledo, with numerous shopping and dining options just steps away from the school.


Toledo has a rich cultural tradition. The city is home to the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Symphony, University of Toledo, Stranahan Theater, Toledo Opera and the historic Valentine Theatre. The Toledo Zoo holds innumerable events throughout the year, from concerts to Christmas Lights at the Zoo. The famous restaurant, Tony Packo’s is located in the Hungarian neighborhood just across the street form Fifth Third Field, the home of the Toledo Mudhens baseball team. The Toledo Metroparks System encompasses the University Parks trail and the Toledo Botanical Garden.  The University of Toledo Bike Trail, which stretches for 6.3 miles, connects the University with Sylvania Township. TLC-Toledo students have access to the park just minutes away from school!


The Imagination Station is a hands-on science museum, located downtown along with the Toledo Lucas County Public library. The Toledo Lucas County Public Library is nationally recognized for its overall excellence and fantastic facilities.


Local bus service is provided by the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA). In addition, transportation for the disabled is provided by the Toledo area Para-Transit Services. Greyhound Lines and MegaBus offer intercity transportation services with daily trips to Ann Arbor, Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago.  There are airports in both Toledo and Detroit, making arrival and departure easy for students and guests.
