ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT
Locations: All institutes
Course Description: Option #1— Test question analysis, advanced grammar review, test-taking practice, and testing strategy. One hour per day as part of the regular Intensive English Program. Available to students in Level 6 and above at all institutes.
Option #2—Test–taking strategies, strong advanced grammar and reading review, practice tests and analysis of test results. Five hours of study per day as part of the regular Intensive English Program. Available to students in Level 5 and above.
Dates: Option #1 is available during all regular sessions. See the application form for a list of session starting dates. Option #2 is available based on the needs and director’s discretion at most institutes. It is offered on a regular basis at The Language Company: ELI and TLC: TLI in sessions 1, 4, 7, 10 & 13.
Costs: There are no additional costs for the TOEFL Focus course. Students must be enrolled in the regular Intensive English Program to receive the TOEFL Focus course. The costs for the regular program are listed on the application form.

Course Description: The TLC: MLI Thomas More Prep-Marian High School program offers high school graduation for international students. Thomas More Prep-Marian High School is located just 4 hours drive from TLC: MLI. During the academic year, students live in high school dorms with 24-hour staff available. Homestay families are available when dorms are closed over school holidays.
Students should attend TLC: MLI in the summer prior to the August start date, or in the fall semester prior to the January start date to prepare for high school study. Students can earn an American high school diploma through these programs.

Costs: TLC: MLI costs are listed on our application. Costs for the complete academic year at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School include tuition, dormitory, meals, insurance, processing and application fees, activities and estimated personal expenses.
ENGLISH FOR EXECUTIVES AND PROFESSIONALS

Course Description: This private, custom program is designed for people who need English in their business but have limited time to study. This program can return you to your job quickly with the English skills you need.

Course Description: This course is for individuals who work in the petroleum industry. We provide instruction in technical English in areas ranging from the oil field to the office. Oil well drilling, job safety, technical terms and writing skills are among the topics offered.

Course Description: This course provides intensive English in the morning plus specialized private instruction in a content area. Students gain real-life experience visiting locations in the community to gain first-hand knowledge of the content area. Students attend for five hours per day, five days per week, for four weeks. Students observe the total process and work routines of local industries, businesses and institutions. Content areas may include business, law, journalism, petroleum production, manufacturing, computer technology, education, music, recreational management, food processing, Native American culture, environmental studies, telecommunications and early childhood development.
Dates: The Community Experience program begins every four weeks on the starting dates of the regular Intensive English Program. See the application form for session start dates.
Costs: Cost includes tuition, community visits and related transportation, homestay including three meals per day, books and materials, airport pick-up, admission fees and health insurance. Please contact the director of the institute you wish to attend for current program costs.

Course Description: The Study Vacation program is for students between twelve and eighteen years of age. The program includes up to twenty-five lessons of English each week, emphasizing fluency and communication practice. Activities are designed to provide an exciting balance to classroom study and vary depending on the institute you choose. Homestay with private bedroom, three meals per day, and transportation to and from school are included. Dormitory also available at most locations. The Study Vacation program was developed to highlight the outstanding features of each institute location and region. Other entertainment packages are available upon request.
