TLC’s Intensive English Program, Okmulgee is located in the Mid-Eastern part of the state of Oklahoma, 45 minutes south of Tulsa, a medium-sized metropolitan area. The city of Tulsa provides a major airport with regular connecting flights. Prospective students can arrange for airport pickup through the language school.
TLC - Okmulgee is centrally located near Covelle Hall, the fitness center on campus, the Student Union, a social hub on campus, and the Administration Building, the advisement/ID services area on site. The Covelle Complex has an indoor basketball court, volleyball and racquetball courts, and a weight room.
TLC - Okmulgee is located on a university campus of approximately 2,500-3,000 students who are pursuing various technologically academic interests. The university offers more than twenty (20) Associates degrees, including those in Business, Nursing, Culinary Arts, Visual Communications and Information Technologies. Three Bachelor of Technology degrees are also available, including those in Civil Engineering and Information Assurance and Forensics. Students can study on campus and can enjoy areas of social time as well.
The institute offers opportunity for social engagement and activity, but its focus is on the academic portion of study abroad. The reason is very simple: Preparation. Students invest their time in a program that is designed to meet students’ language needs. The preparation can be for a university admissions test, a university class, or a job awaiting back home. The nine (9) levels are intended to meet students at their levels of need. Closely akin to the nine-level regular program are the offerings: Research Paper Writing, TOEFL Prep., and U.S. Culture. These are available according to cycle, and these are intended to meet specific language needs.
