TLC-Orlando is located in one of the most popular U.S. cities.  Central Florida is well-known for its many attractions and close proximity to beautiful beaches.  Florida is known for its warm weather.  Orlando is generally very hot in the summer months and mild in the winter months, but be prepared for Florida’s rainy season which is June – November.   The average seasonal temperatures are:

TLC-Orlando offers a variety of English programs and flexible schedules in order to accommodate a student’s diverse needs for studying English.  The minimum age requirement for all programs is 13 years old.  Programs include:
  • Intensive English Program
  • Intensive English Part Time Program
  • Foundations of English Program
  • Evening English Works Program
  • Private Lessons
  • Special Program -- Study Vacation Program
  • Special Program -- English for Professionals

The classes are small, offering students personal attention.  Standard classes include Structure, Speaking and Listening, and Reading and Writing; however, elective classes are also offered.  Theses classes may include the following:
  • Speech and Communication
  • Idioms
  • American Culture through Film
  • American Literature
  • Research Paper
  • TOEFL Preparation
  • Conversation
  • Current Events
Cultural and touristic activities are organized by the TLC-Orlando staff and are offered on a weekly basis.  Transportation is provided and the activities are often at no cost to the student or greatly discounted.  Activities give students the opportunity to practice their English, learn about American culture, and enjoy Orlando’s many attractions.  Some activities include:
  • Theme parks
  • Shopping
  • Movies
  • Canoeing and swimming in Florida’s natural springs
  • Putt-putt golf
  • Orlando Art Museum and Science Center
  • Professional sports events
Universities and Colleges in the area:
There are numerous nationally recognized universities and colleges in the Central Florida area; these include four-year programs, two-year programs and technical schools for the undergraduate or graduate student.  TLC-Orlando works with many of these quality universities, colleges, and schools in Orlando and in other parts of the U.S. to assist students in obtaining conditional admission.
