About the Center
TLC-Minot’s host university is located in Minot, North Dakota and uniquely offers in-state tuition for all students. With a population of 36,567, Minot is considered one of North Dakota’s major centers of business, medical care, transportation, finance, recreation, education and agribusiness. While enjoying the finest in technology and quality services, Minot still maintains a safe, small-town feel.
Minot is known for its beautiful summers, and picture-perfect winters. With four definite seasons, the weather in ND can please anyone. Summer is a favorite season for many North Dakotans. With average high temperatures in the 80’s and daylight from 6am to 11 pm, summer is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Winter in North Dakota can be quite cool. High temperatures range from the teen to 20’s, but it has been known to be colder. Most years North Dakota sees abundant snowfall, making for great sledding, skating, skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing opportunities.
We offer not only the intensive program (9:00 to 4:15 M-Th and 9:00 to 12:00 F), but also the macro-intensive (executive program) for private and small groups customized to fit individual needs and the semi-intensive program with flexible hours for those that want a greater confidence in their English-speaking abilities. Minimum age requirement is 17.
