“ Why I Study English”

  English is very popular and very useful in modern society. Even though there are almost 3,000 languages, English is the most universal. There are three reasons for me to study English in the 21st century.
  First, learning English is very interesting for me. English is everywhere. It is on signs, clothing, and so on. If I know English, I can understand those meanings. I can also watch some English movies. I can read English magazines and newspapers. That will be great.
  Second, because of the development of technology an economy, many countries are having more contact in business with other countries. The world will become a world village. English should be the international language. If I know English, I can go anywhere in the world and communicate in English.
  In addition, China is a huge country. More and more international companies come to China to develop their business. There are more chances in China. China needs more international talents. So, I am studying English in the United States to improve myself. Then, I can get a competitive job.
  In conclusion, English is the most universal language. It becomes more and more popular and useful. Studying English is very important for me, because it is interesting and I can improve myself. So, I study English in the 21st century.
